Father's Day 2012.

I realized today that I never blogged about Father's Day! I'm so sorry, and this post is really late. However, it is always better late than never, and it is full of pictures. You have been warned. (I tried to keep the commentary to a minimum so it is mostly just pictures. You're welcome.)

Father's Day was on June 15, 2012, and we went out before church to try to take some "church photos" of Micah with his Daddy.

Here are the outtakes! I didn't get one good photo. Imagine that with a active, wiggly eighteen month old. Sigh. Such is life. I think we'll appreciate any and all photographs as the years pass by, though so I thought I'd still share.

Daddy's frustration at his little man not cooperating.

Trying to make the best of a silly situation. Obviously Micah does not agree.

Kisses from Daddy always make things better!

In all seriousness, we love you, Daddy! I have been very blessed with a wonderful husband and father for Micah. As you can see, we joke around a lot and enjoy having fun. I'm blessed to have had Mr. C in my life for the past nine years.

We went to our church followed by a visit to Mississippi to see my in-laws, and then we headed back to Tennessee for dinner with my family. I'm very blessed to have a wonderful father-in-law who is such a great father to my husband. I'm so glad they took time to raise Mr. C the right way.  (Remember, my in-laws don't really like being on the internet, so I like to respect their bloggy wishes. Doesn't mean we don't love them, but I don't put their pictures on the blog.) We had a wonderful time with Grandmommy & PaPaw, Aunt C, and cousins H, N, & little N. At their house, we had our first round of water play in the small swimming pool. Micah was in heaven!

For dinner, we went to see my fabulous Daddy!

I truly love my father dearly, and he means the world to me. Not many people have a father who went to school full time their whole life pursuing God's calling into ministry. I'm very blessed to have a fountain of spiritual knowledge right on my doorstep. I'm thankful for the Godly blessing he has been in my life. I'm also proud of him! He's a published author, helps co-run a Christian publishing company, and even has time to teach college courses around Memphis. He's extremely involved in Southern Baptist life, too. I'm blessed.

Getting a hand from Daddy.

Ebin helping KayKay make some perfect homemade ice cream. It was super yummy!

Ebin got a new toy from the flea market over the weekend, so he had to show us how his helicopter and airplane worked.

Beautiful hydrangeas from my mom's fabulous garden.

My wonderful Daddy (Papa) playing soccer with his grandsons.

Here are some more beautiful flowers from the garden! My mom has an awesome green thumb, and a huge wonderful yard to garden in.

Daddy and Uncle Jase just chilling.

Boys will be boys.

Micah's favorite and most often used word these days is "wawa" (for water). He found the water (or the birdbath!) in my mom's backyard.

I mean, he is just delighted by water. Go figure, but I think this kid is going to be a fish. (Don't worry, my mom had just emptied out the water so it wasn't "dirty" or sitting in there for weeks or anything.)

Because he got so wet from the birdbath discovery, we ended up (very redneck Southern like) stripping him down into his diaper so he could play in the sprinkler with Ebin. No, we did not have a swim diaper so his regular diaper just filled up with water. =)

He just had a blast!

I really hope these precious boys grow up to be close friends.

In the midst of the sprinkler fun, we had this spread for our homemade ice cream sundaes! It was super yummy!!

More sprinkler fun was had by the boys.

More ice cream was eaten by all.

Happy Father's Day to Daddy, Uncle Jase, Uncle C,  PawPaw, and Papa! We love you all very, very much!
